An atmosphere filled with music, food and community comradery will be on stage for Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce's Jammin' with the General at the Lebanon Public Square.
The July concert event will return to the southwest parking lot of the Square on Thursday, July 16.
Jammin' in July will feature the group Resurrection - A Journey Tribute. The band is a group that took flight in 2014 when a stellar lineup of accomplished Nashville musicians aimed to re-create the look and feel of those magical Journey tours from the 1980's.
The group features vocalist Ryan Christopher as 'The Voice.' Christopher, along with the amazing band that surrounds him, does an awesome job at reproducing the passion, power and precision of a live Journey show in great detail, a spokesperson said.
Food truck vendors including Crystal Elegance Catering, Minutemen Express, Southern Kitchen, Two Fat Men Ice Cream and Fried Green Tomatoes will be present, along with local beer vendor Yazoo Brewing Company. Proud brewers of Gerst beer, their taproom is located in a downtown Nashville neighborhood known as The Gulch.
Jammin' will begin at 6 p.m. with food vendors and face painting, and the live performances will begin at 7. Music fans are encouraged to come and enjoy shopping with square retailers before performances.
Jammin' with the General is sponsored by the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce Special Events Division, Historic Lebanon, Capitol Theatre, City of Lebanon and Wes Dugan Farm Bureau Insurance.
The event was created in 2013 by the Chamber's Tourism Division (now Special Events Division) and has been a growing success each year. The event is open to the public and admission is free. All attendees should bring lawn chairs. VIP tables for 10 will be available to purchase for $125 prior to the event.
