Two of the three men charged with the murder of Darrell “Crow” Sloan have had their bond set as well as their next court appearance.
Tommy Adams was assigned a bond of $250,000 by Judge David Durham in Wilson County Criminal Court on Tuesday. Adams – along with his two codefendants Derrick Blair and Christopher Estes – is charged with first degree murder, second degree murder and especially aggravated robbery.
Durham ruled that any attempt for Adams to make bond must be made in open court as was requested by Assistant District Attorney General Bobby Hibbett. All three men will appear in court on Jan. 12, 2010.
According to Wilson County Sheriff Terry Ashe, Sloan was murdered and then robbed during an altercation at what he called a “wild party with drugs, women and alcohol” in Statesville on Oct. 4.
Estes received a bond of $100,000 because he was the only one of the three that was not armed at the time of the murder, Ashe said. Blair is still being held without bond.
