This year’s fair catalog is currently being compiled for release to residents of Wilson County. Ads are being sold to community business partners to be included in the catalog with a June 16 release date. Anyone wishing to place an ad in the fair catalog is encouraged to contact Kathy Haskins at (615) 444-4666.
"Fair officials are also working in finalizing commercial booths for this year’s fair," Moss added. Anyone seeking information on booth space can call the Wilson County Fair office at (615) 443-2626.
Community talent is something highlighted at the annual fair. Currently, committee members of talent and other competitive events are finalizing plans for the vast variety of shows performed at the fair.
"We encourage everyone that has a talent to participate in this year’s competitions," said Craig Browning, spokesperson of the Fair. "There are many showcases, from baking to photography to beauty contests…something for everyone."
Wilson County Promotions, in partnership with the James E. Ward Agriculture Center, is also announcing the opening of a new livestock arena. The arena will be complete by fair time, and will allow for the expansion of Amusements of America’s midway, which will bring more rides to patrons of the fair.
Additional information regarding changes in parking and other need-to-know information will be released at a later date as plans are being finalized.
