Lee Hodges, president of Arewa Aid, is enthusiastic about the work. “Arewa Aid is the most innovative and exciting development in showing Christ to Muslims that I know of. Please come to the dinner and learn more.” The farm was established by Lebanon native Brad Blake and his wife Jennifer. They worked for many years in Nigeria and returned to the states earlier this year. The farm is now being managed by Ebenezer Udofi, a Nigerian native with skills in sustainable agriculture. With the well flowing, the new objective is to get the farm to be self-sustaining by the end of 2009. Udofi is raising poultry, rabbits, and fish to bring to market. Other plans are ready to be implemented. Reaching this objective will enable Arewa Aid to expand its work in other areas of Africa. Tickets cost $10. If you’re not able to give beyond that, organizers would still like to see you at the dinner. “We want you to know what is going on and how these funds are representing the love of Christ to a Muslim area,” Hodges said.
