Row 2 was another teammate affair, with Elliott Sadler and Ron Hornaday Jr. qualifying third and fourth, respectively, in their Kevin Harvick Inc. Chevys.
Sadler, the NASCAR Nationwide Series points leader, put his No. 2 KHI entry on the inside of Row 2 with a lap of 156.140 mph. “It’s a great run by both teams,” said Sadler. “We’re try to go get ‘em tonight.”
His KHI teammate, Ron Hornaday Jr., qualified with the identical time, but will start on the outside of Row 1 because Sadler’s No. 2 truck is higher in owner points than Hornaday’s No. 33 Chevy is.
“This says a lot for KHI,” said Hornaday. “This is fun.”
Row 3 will be Timothy Peters and Johnny Sauter, with Parker Kligerman and Nelson Piquet Jr. on Row 4
There were no DNQs today, as the field was 32 trucks.
SPEED’s race coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. CT with the “NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Set-Up” airs.
