Five CU football players honored
LEBANON -- Cumberland football players Nathan Anderson, Owen Canady, Nathan Jernigan, Nytrellis Ross and Luke Webb were all named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the national office over the holidays.

Student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically and maintain a 3.50 grade-point-average and above to be eligible for the award.

Senior Luke Webb (Columbia Central) holds a 3.59 GPA working on his master's in Public Service Management, while juniors Nathan Anderson (Spring Hill), Owen Canady (Harpeth), Nathan Jernigan (Eagleville) and Nytrellis Ross (Albany, Ga.) were all honored.

A total of 311 student-athletes from 85 football-playing schools were named to the list.

Nathan Jernigan - 3.57, Management
