Invites community to August 4 open house
Non-profit Alive Hospice plans to open a new Lebanon office soon and has invited the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Friday, August 4, at 11:30 a.m.
Alive Hospice, which has provided care in Wilson County for many years, is opening the new office - located at 205 West High Street, Suite 102 - to place its hospice home care team closer to patients and families in Wilson County, according to spokesman Jared Porter. Alive's Lebanon location will also offer grief counseling for adults and children beginning the week of August 7 and community-oriented education programs about the end of life, grief and advance care planning.
In addition to Alive leaders and team members, the open house will be attended by public officials, the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce, the Mt. Juliet Chamber of Commerce and the Tennessee Christian Chamber of Commerce as well as healthcare providers, neighbors and the community at large.
The event will also kick off Alive's monthly "Lunch and Learn" series in Lebanon with educational programs offered the first Friday of each month, Experts will speak on a variety of topics of interest to the general public as well as professionals.
Upcoming Lunch and Learn programs at Alive's Lebanon office are scheduled to include:
- Grief and Loss: Friday, Sept. 1, from noon until 1 p.m.
- Advance Care Planning in 7 Steps: Friday, Oct. 6, from noon until 1 p.m.
- Hospice 101: Thursday, Dec. 7, from noon until 1 p.m.
