Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Alvah "Al" William Ryerson, 86, of Lebanon.
A U.S. Navy veteran who served in both World War II and the Korean War, he died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Ryerson was a retired accounting manager with Fortune Plastics, Connecticut, and a member of College Hills Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the service on Tuesday. Dr. Larry Locke will officiate. Interment will follow in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: sons, Jack (Charlotte) Ryerson of Arizona and Thomas E. Ryerson of Pennsylvania; brother David G. (Kathy) Ryerson of Connecticut; grandchildren Julia (Steven) Hall and Miles Ryerson; great-grandchildren Jackson, Robert, Sadier and Jonathan Hall; step-children Stanley (Cheryl) Wiecek, David (Margaret) Wiecek, John (Martine) Wiecek, Diane (George) Meyer and Carol (Harold) Ludlow; and numerous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by parents, Alvah John and Ellen Ryerson; his first wife, Kathleen Ryerson and wife Ethelyn Ryerson.
Family members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbeares will be the Cedar Seniors Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Cedar Seniors 226 University Ave. Lebanon, 37087.
