Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be willing to work all shifts, work overtime as required, read and take direction in English and pass a drug screen and background check.
Also, the job has physical requirements that include being able to lift up to 49 pounds, and being able to stand or walk for shifts of 10 to 12 hours long.
Hixson said the construction of the 1 million-square-foot-facility off State Route 840 and Central Pike is expected to be ready for move-in at least by October. He said Amazon is hopeful to move in sooner than that.
They intend to get into the building in mid-August, Hixson said.

He also pointed out the company will be hiring seasonal employees later this year, and said they had around 400 seasonal employees for the holidays last year.
