Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce Business and Education Coalition teacher grants are now available to qualifying teachers as a way to enhance and support the role of teachers in the classroom and promote student learning and achievement.

Funded by corporate sponsors and Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce events, the grants - ranging from less than $200 up to $599 - provide support to teachers in many areas, including art, classroom, music and special needs. In 2015, a total of 27 K-12 grant projects were awarded $12,314.

The grant application for the 2016-17 school year is available online at www.LebanonWilsonChamber.com or at the chamber office, located at 149 Public Square in Lebanon. The deadline for application is Sept. 16.

Taste of Wilson County, the chamber's largest education fund-raiser, will be held at The Mill at Lebanon on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 5:30 until 8 p.m. Tickets for Taste of Wilson County are available at www.TasteOfWilsonCounty.com.
