Lebanon Special Schools go green

Lebanon Schools Special District is going green, and the changes have already begun, said Assistant Director of Schools Randall Hutto.

All of the schools have been working to recycle paper since 2007, but this spring a systemwide contest really brought in the paper, a total of 106,880 pounds of it in one month.

Trial date set for suspect in rape

A date of Nov. 9 has been set as the trial date here for Robert Jason Burdick who is suspected in the rape of a then 16-year-old girl in the driveway of her home in Wilson County late the night of Feb. 1, 2008.
