Albert Dean Rowland, 70
LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Rowland, 70, of Lebanon.
The son of the late Elmer Lee & Berdie Dean Malone Rowland, he died Wednesday Oct. 6, 2010 in the Summit Medical Center.
Mr. Rowland was affiliated with the Lower Helton Baptist Church, a rural mail carrier with the Lebanon Post Office for 25 years and a farmer.
Visitation Friday between the hours of 3-8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the funeral.
Services will be conducted by Elder Danny Tomlinson. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 31 years Caroline Sue Rowland; daughter Jennifer Lee Dean Rowland; step-daughter Kathy (Jimmy) Tarpley; grandchildren Andrew Tarpley and Alexandria Tarpley; siblings Donald Gene (Doris) Rowland and Sue Ann Manning; nieces Cindy (Mike) Marks and Lisa (Chuck) Chamberlin.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mr. Rowland’s memory to the David Carr Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Alexander Anthony Rossi, 78
LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at the Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mr. Rossi, 78, of Lebanon.
A retired engineer from Lebanon's Lux Clock, he died Oct. 4, 2010.
Mr. Rossi served in the U.S. Army and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a mechanical engineering degree.
The family will be receiving friends from 10 a.m. until service on Friday.
Services will be conducted by Brother Jimmy Gregory. Burial will be private at the Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury, CT.
Survivors include children: Robert Rodgers, Billy Rodgers, Joe Hodges and Janet Hodges; siblings: Joseph Rossi, Johanna Lanteri and Regina Cillizza of Connecticut, and Serafina Magni of Massachusetts; grandchildren: Shonta Stewart, Tiffany Rodgers, Rachel Rodgers, Jason Rodgers and Justin Lea; and great-grandchildren: Alexis and Chandra Sawyer, and Avah Stewart.  He is preceded in death by parents Ascanio and Mary Buchwald Rossi; and siblings Louis, Frank and Ascanio Rossi, Louise Carrignan and Patricia Jannetty.

Dazel Marie Graves, 74
WATERTOWN -- Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at the Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. Graves, 74, of Old Hickory.
Born in Clay County, she died Oct. 5, 2010 at Lebanon's UMC Hospital.
Mrs. Graves was a member of the Hickory Ridge Church of Christ and a personal caregiver.
The family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral.
Services will be conducted by Brother Ron Hackney. Burial will follow at the Commerce Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughters Robbie (Larry) Walker and Hazel (Larry) Baird -- all of Lebanon and Jackie (Allen) Partlow of Mt. Juliet. Also surviving are grandchildren Jeremy (Leahbeth) Walker, Angela (Zeraphin) Barrera, Rachel (Leon) Brewer, John Baird, Cody Partlow and Lauren Baird; nine great grandchildren and siblings: Dean Westmoreland, Edna Bayne, Rhonda Anderson, Rosa Scheele, Tommy, Bedford, Robert Clark, Champ, Bob and Hillary Kellow; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband John Graves; granddaughter Grace Baird; parents Bob and Delpha Kellow and siblings Joe Kellow and Sue Carter.

Edna M. Gibbs Ervin, 85
WATERTOWN -- Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. Ervin, 85, of Lebanon.
She died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas, Nashville.
Mrs. Ervin was retired from Hartmann Luggage and attended Harbor of Love Pentecostal Church.
Visitation prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Services will be conducted by Linda Barnes. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Park.
Survivors include: sons Larry (Libby) Gibbs and Joey (Tammy) Ervin -- both of Lebanon; grandchildren Eric (Ashley) Gibbs, J.R. and Tori Ervin -- all of Lebanon, Trina Harmon of Murfreesboro, Lisa (Joe) Mann of Lebanon, Roy Baynes of Lebanon and Traci Brown of Alexandria; as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands Lawrence Wendell Gibbs and Jimmy Donald Ervin; daughter Patricia Ann Dotson; siblings Walter "Dude" and Charles Barrett, Rosie Burton, Laura Enoch, Janie Blackburn and Etta Burton.

James Lowe Doc Westmoreland, 69
Funeral arrangements for Mr. James Lowe “Doc” Westmoreland are incomplete at this time.
Mr. Westmoreland, age 69 of Immokalee, Florida and a native of Wilson County, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at the Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Florida.

Joe Harold Mason, 72
LIBERTY -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Salem Baptist Church, W. Main Street, Liberty, for Mr. Mason, 72, of Liberty.
A longtime antique and automobile dealer, Mr. Mason died Oct. 5, 2010 at the DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville.
A veteran of the US Navy, he was a graduate of DeKalb County High as attended Wayne State University. He was a member of the Alexandria Lodge No. 175, Short Mountain Lodge No. 373 and was past master of DeKalb Lodge No. 358. A York Rite Mason, he was a five-time first place winner as a member of the Al Menah Shrine Clown Unit.
Mr. Mason was a former manager at Jim Reed Chevrolet and was part-owner of Jackson Brothers Chevrolet.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. at the church.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Mark Wade with Masonic rites and burial set for the Salem Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife Clara Harris Mason and children: Laura (Daryl) South of Murfreesboro, Joe Harold Mason, Jr. of Melbourne, FL and David Mason of Branson, MO.
Also surviving are five grandchildren; his mother Alene Mason of Lebanon siblings Louis (Fran) Mason, John (Dean) Mason, Donna (Robert) Hatcher and Sue Smallwood; as well as an aunt and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Louie B. Mason, Sr.

John Jeffery LoVetere, 50
WATERTOWN -- A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Hunter Funeral Home for Mr. LoVetere, 50, of Watertown.
A tree trimmer, he died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010.
Visitation will be prior to the service at the funeral home.
Services will be conducted by Brother Buford Bane.
Survivors include: companion Sonia Driver; daughter Amber Vaughn of Austin, TX; granddaughter Bailey Vaughn; parents John and Deanie LoVetere of Watertown; sister Denise Jones of Watertown; nephew Jonathan Jones of Lebanon; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sharon Kay Watkins Adams, 47
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be conducted 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at Victory Baptist Church, 1777 Tate Lane, for Mrs. Adams, 47, of Mt. Juliet.
A member of Victory Baptist  Church, she died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 following an extended illness.
An employee of Fastline Publications in Buckner, KY, she was heavily involved in the local Parent-Teacher Organization.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Road.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Chuck Groover. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: husband Steve Adams and children Slade Adams and Summer Adams -- all of Mt. Juliet; parents Bill and Jo Ann Curry Watkins of Groves, TX and sisters Melissa (Randy) Knight of Groves, TX and Melinda (Corey) Simmons of Port Neches, TX.
Pallbearers will include: Austin Arledge, Jordon Logue, Tony Rodefer, Jake Rodefer, Alan Hayes and Jimmy Dean.

Thomas William Penrice, 89
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet for Mr. Penrice, 89, of Mt. Juliet.
Born July 2, 1921 in Wigton, Cumberland, England, he died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010.
The perfect English gentleman with a smart and witty sense of humor, he always had a construction project underway.
Mr. Penrice was a consultant in Metallurgy for over 60 years. He worked on aircraft systems in London during World War II and was head of Research and Development with PerPro in Sharpenhoe, England for 25 years.
Mr. Penrice then became VP of Greenleaf Corp in Saegertown, PA. He was then associated with Teledyne Firth Sterling as VP and consultant for 36 years.
Services will be conducted by Brother Danny Sellars. Interment will follow at the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: wife Esther Penrice; daughters Carolyn Newcombe, Lindsey Penrice, Beverly Leach and Sarah Burgoine; step-children Karen Horan, Wendy Brecht, Peggy Noel and Francis Scott Russell; 11 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Penrice was preceded in death by parents, Thomas Henry Penrice and Annie Smith Penrice; his first wife of 29 years Dee Penrice; siblings Lewis Penrice, Margaret Morris, Kathleen Lynch and Anne Cavie; along with step-son William O. Russell.
Pallbearers: Jim Oakes, Charles Leach, David Burgoine, Felix Leach, Scott Russell, Mike Horan, Jim Brecht, Bob Noel and Quentin Batcho. Honorary: the staffs at the Pavilion and Vanderbilt.

Zackery Tyler Lewis Allen, 18
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were held Thursday morning, Oct. 7 at Joy Church International for Mr. Allen, 18, of Mt. Juliet.
A 2010 graduate of Wilson Central High, he died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 as the result of injuries suffered last month in a Kentucky auto accident.
Zack was a member of Joy Church and he played football for the WCHS Wildcats. He loved music and his family and was considered the “Best Big Brother”.
Services were conducted by Pastor Dave Goldner. Interment followed at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: mother Stephanie (Marty) Willis of Hendersonville and father Kent (Jennifer) Staten of Mt. Juliet; sisters Isabella, Olivia and Emma Willis; brothers Cameron and Braiden Staten.
Also surviving: Grana and Papa Connie and John Allen; Nana Charlene Willis; Grandmama Dorothy Staten; Nana and Papaw Suzanne and Oliver Shalibo; great-grandmother Barbara Clark; uncle Johnny Allen and aunt Tammy Staten as well as numerous other uncles, aunts and cousins.
Pallbearers: Johnny Allen, Donald Webb, Jameel Staten, Derek Gray, Lomondzo Matthews and Daraye Matthews.
