LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 12 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Jones, 83, of Lebanon.
A US Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Jones died Sunday Oct. 10, 2010 in the Lebanon Health and Rehab Center.
The son of the late Walter Lester & Lola Nellie Mai Hight Jones, he was a member of Rocky Valley Baptist Church. A carpenter for 29 years with J.W. Vanhook Construction, he was an avid gardener and beekeeper.
Services were conducted by Brother W.L. Baker. Interment followed at the Fairview Cemetery in Norene Community.
Survivors include: children Pat Reed, Gwen (Darlene) Jones, David (Lisa) Jones and Mark (Donna) Jones.
Also surviving are siblings Raymond D. Jones and Wilma Marie( Floyd) Short; grandchildren Jason (Kristy) LeCornu, Brian Reed, Chris (Christen) Jones, Celeste (Chris) Bowker, Eric Jones, Stacey (Jason) Morse, Joshua Jones and Jessica Jones; great grandchildren Timothy and Riley Reed, Allison Bowker and Jaxon Jones.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Estelle Whited Jones; sister Dorothy Faye Jones; sons-in-law Lee LeCornu and Tim Reed.
Active pallbearers: Terry Short, Chris Jones, Jason LeCornu, Brian Reed, Eric Jones, Josh Jones and Floyd Short. Honorary: will be friends.

A member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Old Hickory, he died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010.

Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mae Nell Bridges and his brother, Arnold Bridges.

A native of Wilson County, he died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at the University Medical Center.
Born January 8, 1943, to the late Willie and Hassie Martin Hodge, he retired from TRW Ross Gear with over 35 years service.
Visitation Wednesday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Thursday at Ligon & Bobo.
Services will be conducted by Brother Tommy Willis and Brother Larry Butler. Interment will follow at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, October 10 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Westmoreland, 69, of Immokalee, FL.
A native of Wilson County, "Doc" died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at the Naples Community Hospital in Naples, FL.
Born June 8, 1941, to the late Mayhew and Pauline Lackey Westmoreland, he worked in construction.
Services were conducted by Brother Tom Lyles. Interment followed at the Leeville Cemetery.
Survivors include: children Machelle (Stanley) Reece of Gainesboro and James Michael (Stacie) Westmoreland of Lebanon; grandchildren Tyler and Heath Willard, Colin Denson, Gavin and Lillie Westmoreland; and sisters Zettie Mai Westmoreland and Louise Westmoreland -- both of Lebanon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Westmoreland; and brothers Joe Allen and Raymond Westmoreland.

MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, Oct. 9 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Chitwood, 86, of Nashville.
The daughter of the late Scott and Fannie Hunter Brown, she died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010.
Mrs. Chitwood was a member of the Rivergate Church of Christ and was an advocate of The Junior League.
Services were conducted by Brother Sellers Crain, Jr. Interment followed at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughters Jane (Ron) Shelton; Patricia; (Bernie) Meade and Virginia Riddle; sisters Bonnie Davenport and Etta Biles as well as nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren
Mrs. Chitwood was preceded in death by her husbands, Ellis Chrisman and William Henry Chitwood.
She was also preceded in death by her sons, Ellis Eugene Chrisman, William Wayne Chitwood and Harry Neal Chitwood along with several brothers and sisters.
Family served as pallbearers.

MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, Oct. 10, at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Risner, 58, of Mt. Juliet.
A 20-year law enforcement veteran, he died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010.
A member of Gladeville United Methodist Church, he served as a detective with the Mt. Juliet Police Department and had also worked for the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department.
Mr. Risner was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and past president of the Wilson County FOP. He was a member and former board member of the Gladeville Community Center. His friends affectionately called him the “Honorary Mayor of Gladeville”.
Services were conducted by Frank Jordan.
A reception for family and friends followed the service at the Gladeville Community Center.
Survivors include: wife Donna J. Risner; daughters Angela Dawn (J.R.) Kemp and Misty Lynn (Bryan) Goodwin.
Also surviving is his mother Wanda G. Risner and siblings: Larry (Betty) Risner, Terry (Mary) Risner, Kenny (Kathy) Risner and Carolyn (Larry) Graves; grandson – T.J. Kemp as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Risner and brother, Randy Risner.
Honorary pallbearers: Officers of the Mt. Juliet Police Department and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department, Dennis Buchanan, Mahlon Graves, Judge John Gwin, Earl Ray, Rick Robinson and Bobby McPeak.
