Obituaries

Billy Trammel, 61
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet for Mr. Trammel, 61, of Hermitage.
Mr. Trammel died Oct. 26, 2010 after a long battle with cancer.
The family will be receiving one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Todd Stevens. Interment will follow at the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 43 year, Suzanne Trammel and children William (Sonia) Trammel, Wendy Cooper and Kristy (Josh) Wallace.
Also surviving are grandchildren Porter, Alexandria, Dylan, Samantha, Taner and Austin; siblings Tom Trammel, Jerry Trammel, Bob Trammel, Denny Trammel, Rick Trammel, Lucille Herron, Rosie Landry, Mary Daniels and Nina Wolfe; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Trammel was preceded in death by parents, Everett and Nellie Mae Trammel.

Mrs. Jeffie L. Rhodes Hitt, 84
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Thursday evening, Oct. 28 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Hitt, 84, of Lebanon.
A homemaker and a member of Berea Church of Christ, she died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 at Quality Care Health Center.
Services were conducted by Brother Todd Elliott. Interment will be in the Piggot Cemetery in Arkansas on Friday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m.
Survivors include: daughters Kathy Moody and Cindy (Lee) Mangrum -- both of Lebanon; sisters Bea Hitt and Ruby Dunn; grandchildren J.T. (Shana) Moody, Kimberley (Chris) Moody Trusty and Abbey Mangrum; great-grandchildren Reilly and Raegan Moody; special friends Veda Shepherd and Edna Partlow; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hitt is preceded in death by parents James K. Polk and Amanda Elizabeth Rhodes; husband Paul R. Hitt; brothers Slim, Speck and Dusty Rhodes.
