AFTER LOSS NOV. 13 at UC
Cumberland’s football team is ranked 23rd in the final regular season NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 announced Sunday by the national office.
The Bulldogs dropped a 52-27 decision Saturday at the Univ. of the Cumberlands, ending the teams chances for the program’s first postseason bid since 1993 and only the second in school history. Coach Dewayne Alexander’s squad has been ranked in the final eight regular season Top 25 polls.
CU finished with the second most wins in a season in school history, posting an 8-3 mark, and ranked in the Top 10 defensively in almost every category, allowing just 18.8 points and 271.5 yards per game.
