Allen H. Spradlin, 76
PINE KNOT, KY -- Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, May 12 at the Pine Knot Funeral Home for Mr. Spradlin, 76, of Lebanon.
He passed away at his residence Tuesday, May 10, 2011.
Mr. Spradlin was a member of the Baptist faith and was retired from General Motors.
Interment was in the Spradlin Cemetery in Bell Farm, Ky.
Survivors include: wife Hester Spradlin; daughter Arlene Hill; son-in-law Gregg Hill; grandchildren Cody Allen Hill and Christina Allison Hill.
He is preceded in death by his mother Hattie Spradlin.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Edward Eugene Hughes, 73
LEBANON -- Graveside funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, May 13 in the Barton’s Creek Cemetery for Mrs. Hughes, 73, of Lebanon.
A member of the Baptist faith and retired from Nissan, he died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at his residence.
Visitation Friday between 2-2:45 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Danny Reed.
Survivors include: wife Dorothy Hughes; son Edward D. (Veronica) Hughes; brother Roger G. Hughes; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; step-son Sam (Key) McKinney; step-daughter Janet (Tony) Harris; six step-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents J.C. & Nellie Petty Hughes; daughter Diane Mooneyhan; brothers William Clayton Hughes and Gerald Hughes.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Fred W. Squires, 83

LEBANON -- Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14 at the Immanuel Baptist Church for Mr. Squires, 83, of Lebanon.
Born July 8, 1927, in New Middleton, he died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the University Medical Center.
A member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Mr. Squires was the son of the late Clay Bridges Squires and Rosa Irene Williams Squires.
A US Navy veteran he retired from the military in 1965 with 20 years service. He then worked for the Shell Oil Company, the State of Tennessee Prison System, and as a courier for Wilson Bank & Trust.
Visitation Friday 2–8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted by Pastor John Hunn. Interment will follow at the Brush Creek Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years Rebecca Ann Ballinger Squires; children Larry W. (Linda) Squires of Lebanon and Sandra J. (Bob) Derryberry of Hermitage; grandchildren Kelly Derryberry, Cheryl (Toby) Bates and Christy (Ben) Wills; great grandchildren Callie & Carson Bates and Eli Wills; and brother in law Glenn Hunter of Gordonsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Leroy and J. W. Squires.
Honorary pallbearers: Ready Sunday School Class of Immanuel Baptist Church and Adult Men’s Sunday School Class of Fairview Baptist Church.
Active pallbearers: Kenneth Beal, Lee Squires, Larry Blackburn, Robert Huttchson, Toby Bates and Wayne Fuson.
Memorials may be made to the Missions Fund of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Kendra Lorene King Shively, 34
LEBANON -- Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Shively, 34, of Baxter.
Born February 2, 1977, in Lebanon, she passed away May 10, 2011, at her residence.
A member of Barton’s Creek Baptist Church, Mrs. Shively was a homemaker. 
Visitation Friday 2-8 p.m. and Saturday after 10 a.m.
Services will be conducted by Brother Terry Cathey. Interment will be in the Barton’s Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include: husband Troy Wayne Shively; children Aaron Wayne Shively and Shelby Lynn Shively; father Jerry Wayne King (Debbie Green) of Lebanon; mother Linda Barnes King of Evansville, IN; grandfather Boyd King of Lebanon; father and mother-in-law Marvin Dean and Sandra Ann Shively of Silver Point.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lorene Lane King, Paul and Jenny Barnes.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Lewis Hill Tune, 97
NASHVILLE -- Graveside service and interment were held Thursday afternoon, May 12 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville for Mr. Tune, 97, of Watertown.
A retired lithographer / printer, the Nashville native died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Lebanon's University Medical Center.
Son of the late Lewis Hudson Tune and Eva Read Tune, he was a member of Claiborne Lodge No. 293 F&AM. Mr. Tune was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and a graduate of Nashville's Hume Fogg High School.
Services were held Thursday morning, May 12, at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Don McElroy officiating.
Survivors include: his wife Jean Seay Tune of Watertown; son Lewis H. (Wendy) Tune of Lancaster, TX; grandsons Jonas (Susan) Tune of Rowlett, TX and Dr. Adam (Jesse) Tune of Pittsburg, PA; great grandchildren Wyatt, Isabella and Ethan Tune of Pittsburg, PA; step-daughters Diane Seay of Washington, DC and Marilyn Roehl of Morristown; step-grandson Jay Roehl of Knoxville.
Mr. Tune was preceded in death by his first wife Rebecca Williams Tune; sisters Rebekah Hansen, Louise Hibbits, Virginia Vaniman and an infant brother along with parents Lewis Hudson Tune and Eva Read Tune.
Pallbearers: Lewis Tune, Jonas Tune, Dr. Jerry Tune, Dr. Jerry Sullins, Dr. Brad Grieves and Greg Griffin. Honorary: Covenant Sunday School Class, Raymond Hunter, Morris & Marlene Rollins, C.D. & Martha Addelott, Ann Beaty, Bette Matthews, Jeanie Eldredge.

Maxine Quillen, 69
MT. JULIET – Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at the Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet for Mrs. Quillen, 69, of Mt. Juliet.
She passed away May 11, 2011.
Visitation with the family will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Quillen is survived by husband of 24 years Harold Quillen; daughters Jodie Pelley and Bonnie (Dennis Powell) Bray; step-daughters Tracie Quillen and Amy Quillen; grandchildren Terra Bray, Matthew Johnson, Dylan Pelley and McKenna Pelley; great-granddaughter Taylor Millraney; along with special friend Pam Langley.
