Development & Tourism Committee meets tonight

The Wilson County Development and Tourism Committee is to meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Basement meeting room of the Wilson County Courthouse.

Lebanon Planning Commission meets tomorrow

Lebanon Planning Commission is set to meet at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, in the Town Hall Meeting Room of the Lebanon Administration Building.

On the agenda are site plans from the Tennessee Department of Safety for a the new Driver Testing Center on Maddox Simpson Parkway, as well as a revised Preliminary Site Plan for Hartmann Plantation apartments on Tuckers Gap Road.

Man fires at officers, charged with attempted murder

A local man was charged with two counts of Attempted Homicide in an incident that occurred early Sunday morning in a public housing unit where he reportedly opened fire on two Lebanon Police Officers.

Lebanon Police Chief Scott Bowen said dispatch received a call at 12:09 a.m. on Sunday, March 25, from Russell Harvey at 10 Head Homes, asking to speak to an officer about harassment.

Bowen said officers had been at Harveys residence twice earlier that evening about the same issue.
