Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Vanatta Cemetery in Alexandria for Mr. Vanatta, 82. He died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at Summit Medical Center.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the service on Friday at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 18 in Creve Coeur, IL for Mrs. Thompson, 86, of Mt. Juliet. She died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at Mt. Juliet Health Care Center.

Mr. Varela, 26, of Brush Creek, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 from injuries sustained in a Rutherford County motorcycle accident.
He was a 2004 graduate of Lebanon High School and worked at Parker Seals.
Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the Partlow Funeral Chapel.
Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 14 in Glasgow, KY for Mr. Minick, 98, of Lebanon. He died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 at Alvin C. York Medical Center in Murfreesboro.
He was a US Army veteran and a mechanic.

Select Physical Therapy is offering a new, special service to Wilson County with their Sports Injury Hotline, a free 24-hour call service that gives local residents a quick connection with licensed medical professionals.
With two locations in Wilson County, Select Physical Therapy is expanding its services using the hotline that is a resource for athletes, weekend warriors and anyone with a sports-related injury who may want to consult a medical professional before going into a doctors office.
This is a totally free service to Wilson County, said Select Physical Therapy Vice President of Operations Chris Zanke.
Zanke indicated when local residents call a licensed Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer will be on-hand to help a patient with initial diagnosis of an injury and help determine if they need to visit a doctor.
Cumberland University baseball coach Woody Hunt has received yet another national honor, this one from his peers, as the longtime leader of the Bulldogs has been selected for induction into the American Baseball Coaches Association Class of 2013 Hall of Fame along with five others this coming January.
The 2013 class will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, during the ABCA/Diamond Hall of Fame/Coach of the Year Banquet held at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, Ill.
Lebanon and Mt. Juliet will kick off the 2012 prep football season tonight, marking the 36th annual meeting of the two Wilson County football programs. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Mt. Juliet. Live radio coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. on WANT FM-98.9.
Lebanon and Mt. Juliet have played each other for 35 consecutive seasons since the rivalry was renewed back in 1977. After winning each of the last three meetings, the Bears lead the series 19-16.
