"My Bid" by Joe Biddle

Where does Dooley go from here?

Youre Derek Dooley. Youre Tennessees football coach. What do you do?

You see your team come apart like a second hand suit in the fourth quarter of a 37-20 loss to rival Florida.

You see your highly touted quarterback suffer a mental meltdown. Tyler Bray sprayed the ball all over the field in the second half, but few of his passes wound up in the hands of the intended receiver.

You caught Brays best pass of the second half, but you were standing well behind the sideline stripe. Nice catch, but you risked a celebration penalty when you spiked the ball. But, hey, it was all over but the booing by then.

MJPD offers Wilson's only Rx drug disposal bin

West Wilson County residents now have a safe and local place to dispose of expired and unused medication.

Mt. Juliet Police Department installed Wilson Countys first public pharmaceutical disposal bin that is available in the front lobby of police headquarters. Residents can safely dispose of their unused medication at all hours. The bin was supplied by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Office of Sustainable Practices. This past week was the first week the drop bin was available for public use, and 47 pounds of waste has already been collected.

We want to provide our community a safe, secure location where they can properly dispose of their prescription medications, said MJPD Chief Andy Garrett. Not only are there environmental concerns, we also dont want dangerous prescription drugs ending up in the hands of our children.
