FCS WINS STATE TOURNEY

MURFREESBORO -- Friendship Christian won its second-straight Class 1A volleyball title with 3-0 sweep over Boyd-Buchanan Friday afternoon at MTSU's Murphy Center. Game scores: 25-13, 25-11 and 25-18.

The Lady Commanders ended another spectacular season at 57-4 while the Lady Bucs were equally as outstanding and finished at 33-15.

Lipscomb-bound senior Kaitlyn Teeter finished with 14 kills and 13 digs to earn MVP honors. Alex Sealy added 12 kills for the Lady Commanders.

LHS shocks HHS 13-7

CRANE RESIGNS AS HEAD COACH
LEBANON -- Taking advantage of four Hendersonville turnovers Lebanon scored an improbable 13-7 victory over the Commandos Friday at Tribble Field / Watkins Stadium.

The win snapped an 11-game Blue Devil losing streak dating back to the 2011 season in Troy Crane's final game as LHS coach. According to Lebanon Athletic Director Darian Brown, Crane informed the team of his decision to resign during a pregame locker room meeting. Crane's two-year tenure as LHS head coach ended with a record of 3-17.
