Country star sings for the holidays

Country music vocalist turned jingle belle Lorrie Morgan says Christmas was very magical in her home as a youngster, thus she hopes to recreate the same atmosphere at her upcoming Nashville holiday extravaganza.Its just gonna be a classic Christmas show. Well sing Christmas songs, and the stage is gonna be beautiful. Were gonna have some special guests that will drop in and out on various days. It will be very family friendly, a very pretty Christmas show, says the Lebanon resident of her Lorrie Morgans Enchanted Christmas Dinner & Show, which runs Nov. 16 through Dec. 25 at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.
Tuckers Crossroads will host the Jaelin Davis Benefit Basketball Games tonight with all proceeds going to the Davis family.
Davis, 15, an exceptional student at TXR, was a standout athlete at Lebanon High School in football and basketball.A rising sophomore, Davis died unespectedly at his home June 12 following a football workout with the high school team of an apparant heart abnormality.

Cumberlands Michael Hagewood was voted the Mid-South Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after helping the Bulldogs to a 33-32 overtime victory at Lindsey Wilson this past weekend.

FIRST ROUND OF NAIA SOCCER TOURNAMENT
Cumberland will face Martin Methodist this Saturday in Pulaski, in the opening round pairings of the 2012 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship, as announced Monday afternoon by the national office. The match will be the first-ever for the Bulldogs in the NAIA Championships.
The Bulldogs (18-2-0) and RedHawks (15-3-0) met once already this season, with MMC claiming a 2-1 decision in Lebanon on September 6. In that match Lauren Grahams rebound in the 81st minute was the game-winner and all three goals were scored in the second half.
