Ann Baird, 64

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Dec. 24 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Baird, 64, of Lebanon. Co-owner of Baird's Custom Fence, she died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at the University Medical Center.

Services were conducted by Bro. Glenn Denton. Interment followed at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include: her husband of 47 years, Thomas Baird; sons Jason Baird and Thomas D. Baird; sisters Faye (Ron) Childress and Gail Fleming; grandchildren Kayla Baird, Tyler Baird, Ashlee Cunningham, Caden Baird, Lyndsy Baird and Mason Baird.

Mrs. Baird is preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Katherine Watkins along with sister Sandra Watkins. Family members served as pallbearers.

The family requests contributions in Ann's memory to: Sherrys Run, P.O. Box 8, Lebanon, 37088.

Partlow Funeral Chapel, Lebanon, was in charge of arrangements.

Berenice Tomlin Parker, 77

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Dec. 23 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Parker, 77, of Lebanon. A bookkeeper for Carter Flooring, she died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at Quality Health Care Center.

Bessie Velma Jimmie McDaniel, 92

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Dec. 23 at Pocahontas Church of Christ for Mrs. McDaniel, 92, of Mt. Juliet. She died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.

Edgar Allen Greene, 57

Mr. Greene, 57, of Lebanon died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at his residence.

Survivors include: mother Heidi H. Greene, father Roger Greene, son Eian A. Greene, sisters Barbara (Randy) Arden and Sonja (David) Jones.

Jerry Alan Martin, 54

Jerry Martin, 54, died Dec. 21, 2012. No services are scheduled at this time.
Survivors include sister JoAnn (Albert) Buehler, brother Ray (Joyce) Martin, sister-in-law Bonita Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan Hamblen Wright, 78

Funeral services were held Thursday morning, Dec. 27 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Wright, 78, of Mt. Juliet.

Sadie Caroline Davis, 17 months

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon, Dec. 27 at The Journey Church, Lebanon, for Sadie Caroline Davis, age 17 months, of Mt. Juliet.

The daughter of Tim and Amber Davis died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 following an extended illness. A private interment was held.

Sadies parents would like to Pay It Forward with donations made to The Sadie Davis Benefit Fund, c/o The Journey Church, 212 Leeville Pike, Lebanon, 37087.

Shirley Starling Conger, 63

Funeral services were held Wednesday evening, Dec. 26 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Conger, 63, of Watertown. Born August 23, 1949, in Live Oak, Florida, she died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at her home.

Central wins LandAir opener

GREENEVILLE -- Wilson Central jumped out to a quick lead and didn't look back as they defeated West Greene 72-33 in Game Four Wednesday of the Landair Ladies Classic.

Autumn Hopkins led the charge for Wilson Central knocking down a trifecta of treys on her way to 21 points. Rachel Bean scored 12, Dominique St. Louis had 11 and Kendall Spray added 10 to help the Lady Wildcat cause

Wilson Central relied heavily on aggressive defense and forced 29 turnovers in the contest. West Greene only managed to force 6 turnovers.
