MJ's Gei handcuffs Gallatin
MT. JULIET -- A red-hot pitcher is pretty handy anytime, but especially on a cold night. Mt. Juliet rode a strong performance from Marshall Gei in Tuesday's 9-0 victory over Gallatin High in the District 9AAA opener for both teams.

Gei hurled six scoreless innings, scattered four hits and struck out seven as he upped his personal record to 2-0.

The Golden Bears pounded out 12 hits against Green Wave pitching as every starter had at least one hit in the win. Kote Smith, Kyle Grace and Zach Ehrhart each picked up two hits.
