Born Oct. 15, 1929, she died Thursday morning, June 13, 2013 at University Medical Center in Lebanon.
Arrangements are in the care of Watertown's Hunter Funeral Home.

Florence M. Kenney, 87

Florence Mercedes Kenney, 87, passed away June 9, 2013 at Quality Care, Lebanon. She was born September 24, 1925 to Charles and Lucy (Murphy) Fried of Bronx, NY.

Florence attended Fordham University (Accounting) and worked for top NYC companies in the fashion, radio production, public relations and financial services industries.

Janet Marilyn Manners Yokley Noll, 82

A celebration of life is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 188 Thompson Ln., Nashville for Ms. Noll, 82. She died June 11, 2013 in Nashville after an extended battle with cancer.

William Bill Gilliam, Jr., 93

Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 14 at the Rest Hill Cemetery for Mr. Gilliam, 93, of Lebanon. He died Sunday June 9, 2013 at his residence.
Arrangements are in the care of J.C Hellum Funeral Home, 107 Stokes Street Lebanon.

Meth lab found at local hotel

A meth lab was reportedly discovered Thursday afternoon at a local hotel in Lebanon.

Details were sketchy, but Lebanon Police were on the scene at the Days Inn on Murfreesboro Road, and Lebanon Fire Department was summoned to assist in the clean-up of any hazardous materials. Wilson Emergency Management Agency also responded.

Severe thunderstorm watch issued until 7 tonight

WEATHER ALERT -- A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Middle Tennessee, including Wilson County, until 7 tonight, by the National Weather Service in Old Hickory.

Storms may produce strong to damaging winds and possible isolated large hail.

Suspect nabbed in home invasion, robbery

Lebanon Police have arrested one man and are searching for other suspects in a home invasion and robbery that occurred about 11 p.m., Tuesday, June 11.

Chief Scott Bowen said in a news release that officers responded to a call reporting an aggravated robbery at 411 East Market Street.

The victim told police that when he returned home, three black males approached him from behind and forced their way inside. One of the subjects, a juvenile, reportedly brandished a gun.

Cleve Harris resigns at FCS

Taking girl's hoops job at Ensworth --
UPDATED -- Friendship Christian School is in the market for a new boys basketball coach following the recent resignation of Cleve Harris. Harris, who led the Commanders to the 2012 Class A state championship, has taken the girl's head basketball position at The Ensworth School in Nashville.

Harris, who teaches physical education, coached the Commanders to a record of 28-3 and the state title in 2012. Hit heavily by graduation, his 2013 squad slumped to 10-16, falling to Jackson County 53-45 in the quarterfinals of the Region 4A tournament. Harris three-year record at Friendship Christian was 61-24.
