Local storm damage update

The Wilson Post reported online Wednesday that elements of the Lebanon Fire Department successfully extinguished a fire at College Hills Church of Christ in Lebanon after they arrived at the scene around 6 p.m.

LFD responded to a call regarding flames coming through the roof of the churchs Childrens Wing. A lightning strike was presumed to be the cause of the fire.

The building was occupied at the time with several church members attending the regular Wednesday Night Supper in the Fellowship Hall. Very few people were in the Childrens' Wing at the time of the strike, however the building was evacuated and Wednesday night services were canceled.
