Bro. W.L. Baker, 105

Beloved Southern Baptist preacher W.L. Baker passed away on his birthday, Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013 at Elmcroft Assisted Living at the age of 105.

Bro. Baker began his ministry in 1932 at two small country churches near Springfield -- Hopewell Baptist in Mt. Pleasant and Springfield Chapel on Sunday nights.

Ed B. Baird, 95

Mr. Baird, 95 of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at the Pavillion.Born March 3, 1918, in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Ethel Bouton Baird.

A lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church where he had served as a deacon and elder, the Lebanon Golf & Country Club, and was a US Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Ed. B. Baird, 95 of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at the Pavillion.
