I believe this was the fastest year in my whole life. Maybe I have been influenced by what is called the Rip Van Winkle syndrome, sleeping some of my year away. In reality, that is just something that was made up in my own mind, a Ray-ism. Please don't quote me on that one.

'Y' not: MJ building plans canceled

MT. JULIET -- North Mt. Juliet will not be getting the new YMCA that had been proposed for it, according to Jessica Fain, senior vice president at Middle Tennessee YMCA.  However, the YMCA plans to maintain or even expand its presence in the city, she added.

Three facing drug charges

Two men arrested Friday, Dec. 13 on drug-related charges remained in jail Tuesday and are slated to appear in court on Jan. 7, 2014.

Lebanon Police arrested the two men, and also a third individual, following a traffic stop by Burger King on North Cumberland Street. A fourth person was released by officers at the scene.
