A fun night of basketball antics is on tap Monday, Jan. 27 as the Harlem Ambassadors bring their exciting brand of showmanship to Lebanon’s Winfree Bryant Middle School.  Sponsored by VFW Post 5015 and VVA Chapter 1004, proceeds raised will go toward the planned Wilson County Veterans Park & Museum.

Just days after locking horns with arch rival Wilson Central, the Mt. Juliet basketball teams will host Lebanon tonight in a 6:30 p.m. District 9-AAA doubleheader.  Also locally tonight, Wilson Central will entertain Hendersonville and Watertown is scheduled to host Trousdale County High in a 6 p.m. District 8-A twin bill.

Mt. Juliet Christian is on the road to play at The King's Academy this afternoon and at Knox Webb Saturday morning in a pair of Division II East-Middle 1-A games.

Friendship Christian will host St. Andrew's Sewanee tonight in another East-Middle 1-A doubleheader. Action tips at 6 p.m. at the Bay Family Sportsplex.

Lady 'Dogs down LW 68-51

LEBANON -- TaCouya Allen posted 23 points while Katie Smith added 14 points and 12 rebounds, as Cumberland used an 11-0 run at the end of the first half to take the lead in a 68-51 victory over Lindsey Wilson Thursday night in women’s basketball action.

Blue Raiders top CU 70-61

LEBANON -- The Cumberland men’s basketball team took a three point advantage with 7:45 left in the game, but Lindsey Wilson College followed with a 15-3 run over the next six minutes to hand the Bulldogs their fifth loss in six games Thursday 70-61 at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.
