Things I liked:
I liked the way Seattle dominated Denver in every phase of the game. Going in with the best defense in the NFL this season, the Seahawks came in confident, playing the role of the underdog. While everyone in the media was fawning over the season Peyton Manning had, I imagine Seattle Coach Pete Carroll didn’t hesitate to frequently remind his players that Manning was the Super Bowl and they were just lambs being led to slaughter.

Three schools were on lockdown for only minutes Tuesday morning as Lebanon Police captured and arrested a man wanted on a probation violation out of Trousdale County.

CU to host shoe drive Thursday

Cumberland University Student Life and the athletic department are teaming up to hold a shoe drive to benefit Shoes 4 Souls during the men’s and women’s basketball games against Mid-South Conference rival Pikeville Thursday night at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.

Donation boxes will be placed in the lobby of the gym during the games. One free general admission ticket will be provided with each shoe donation.
