Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, Feb. 23, 2014 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Miss Buford, 15, of Mt. Juliet. Formerly of Bakersfield, CA, and a ninth grade student at Wilson Central High School, she died Feb. 18, 2014.
A celebration of life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 1 at the Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon, for Mr. Ristow, 67, of the Elmwood Community.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at Bond Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Bush, 81, of Mt. Juliet. An active member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ and the widow of the late Ivan Bush, she died Feb. 23, 2014.

LEBANON -- The much anticipated Wilson County Veterans Park began Phase One of three construction phases Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The park is located next the Wilson County Courthouse on East Main Street and will be a place to commemorate local veterans.

Wilson Central will take on District 9-AAA rival Station Camp at 6 p.m. while the Golden Bears will play Kenwood High at 7:30 p.m. Tonight's winners advance to a TSSAA sectional game while losers are eliminated.

LEBANON -- Tyler Alford went 3-for-3 and collected five RBIs in game two of a doubleheader as No. 10 Cumberland escaped with a 6-5 win in the opener, and followed with a convincing 15-1 performance in the nightcap against West Virginia Tech Saturday, Feb. 22 at Stockton Field.
