Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Morgan, 84, of Lebanon. A member of the College Hills Church of Christ and retired after 38 years as District Manager of South Central Bell, Mr. Morgan died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Nashville's St. Thomas Hospital.

CU BASEBALL -- 'Dogs pound Bethel 17-5

North slam ends game in 8th inning
LEBANON -- Brady North's grand slam ended the game in the eighth and Sam Lind kept up his hot hitting, as Cumberland run-ruled Bethel University 17-7 Tuesday at Stockton Field.

The Bulldogs (24-14) jumped out early with five runs in the first, including a two-run homer from Sam Lind and a two-run single by Bryan Haney, and added two runs in both the second and third innings. But then the home team went scoreless for four frames, stranding just three total runners in the four innings.

PREP SOFTBALL -- Central tops LHS 9-5

GLADEVILLE -- Taking control early with four runs in the bottom of the first, Wilson Central went on to record a 9-5 home win over District 9-AAA rival Lebanon Tuesday.

The Lady Wildcats banged out a season-high 15 hits, improving to 11-12 overall, 2-1 in the district. LHS fell to 9-6 overall, 1-2 in 9-AAA.
