Mt. Juliet (15-2-1 / 5-1 in 9-AAA) will open play Friday afternoon with a 5:30 p.m. game at Hardin Valley at 5:30 p.m.; followed by an 8 p.m. game vs. Morristown West.

Coleman has three hits in loss
LEBANON -- Fifth-ranked Georgia Gwinnett took advantage of seven walks, plating a pair of runs in the third and sixth innings in a 5-3 victory over Cumberland Tuesday at Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium.

The Bulldogs (26-16) dropped their second straight contest in their next-to-last non-conference game of the season. Senior Ricky Coleman posted three of the club’s seven hits in the game, including a homer, as three Grizzlies (37-6) hurlers stranded six runners and struck out three.
