Cumberland team plays Thursday afternoon
Continued inclement weather in the Danville, Ky., area has again forced a rescheduling of the Mid-South Conference Softball Championship at Millennium Park.

Torrential downpours over the last 48 hours have left the fields unplayable and as such, opening round games have been pushed back to 3 p.m. Thursday.

No. 5 seed Cumberland will face off against No. 4 University of Rio Grande at that time.

Thursday will now just feature opening round games with winner’s bracket games and four consolation games scheduled for Friday beginning at 9 a.m. CT. Action will continue on Saturday before the tournament concludes with the championship game and if necessary game on Sunday.
