Southern Baptist preacher Bill Jenkins died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the age of 86.

The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and from 11 a.m. until the service at Sellars Funeral Home. The funeral service, conducted by Brother W. D. Thomason and Brother Andy Cannon, is 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Sellars Funeral Home.

If contract negotiations go well this week, the Wilson County Board of Education will have a new Director of Schools to announce at their June 2 meeting.

The BOE heard presentations by director finalists Trousdale County Schools Director Clint Satterfield and Williamson County Schools Assistant Superintendent Dr. Donna Wright Saturday, May 3 before going into a special called meeting to select a top candidate.

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Sam Lind, Chris Hall, Ricky Coleman and Anthony Gomez were all voted First Team All-Mid-South Conference and Brady North, Josciel Veras, Tyler Anderson and Jake Collier were all named Second Team All-MSC in a vote of league coaches released late Sunday night by the league office.
