If I had to describe my weekend at the Cedars of Lebanon State Park's annual Elsie Quarterman Cedar Glade Wildflower Festival, I guess I could sum it up in a simple cliche, "a great time was had by all".

Former NFL player coaching at MJCA

Former NFL and Vanderbilt University standout Brenard Wilson has been named defensive backs coach at Mt. Juliet Christian Academy, joining the staff of newly hired head coach Dan Davis.

Wilson played for Vanderbilt in the late 1970’s before going on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles from (1979-1987) helping the Eagles to the 1981 Super Bowl. He closed out his professional career in 1987 with the Atlanta Falcons.

MJ plays Lebanon Tuesday at Station Camp
GALLATIN -- Wilson Central moved into the winner’s bracket finals of the District 9-AAA softball tournament with a 4-2 victory over Lebanon High Monday at Station Camp.
The Lady Wildcats, now 29-15 on the season and winners of six consecutive games, will play Wednesday at 7 p.m. vs. Hendersonville High at Station Camp.

Wilson Central High's two-way lineman Jordan McCullough signed Tuesday morning, May 6 with NCAA Division III Maryville College.

A three-year starter for the Wildcats, McCullough was a leader on and off the field for Coach Brad Dedman's team.
