Parade, cook-out set Monday
A welcome home celebration for the national champion Cumberland University baseball team has been set for Monday morning in Lebanon, with a parade at 10:30 a.m. followed by a picnic at 11:30 a.m. at Ernest L. Stockton Field-Woody Hunt Stadium.

Gomez shuts out L-C in title game
LEWISTON, ID -- Senior left-hander Anthony Gomez threw his second-complete game of the World Series as No. 10 Cumberland blanked No. 2 Lewis-Clark State 3-0, to win the 2014 Avista-NAIA Baseball World Series championship.

The title is the third all-time for the Bulldogs, who are the only No. 10 seed to ever win the title since seeding was established in 2003. CU previously won national championships in 2010 and 2004.
