Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, June 1 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Gray, 72, of Lebanon.

John Morgan Moss, 89

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4 at Bond Memorial Chapel for renowned local farmer John Morgan Moss, 89, of Mt. Juliet.  A member of the Wilson County Agriculture Hall of Fame, Mr. Moss died June 2, 2014.

Judy Christian, 70

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, June 2 at Linwood Pentecostal Church of Christ for Mrs. Christian, 70 of Alexandria.

Council approves 2014-2015 budget as amended

The Lebanon City Council voted Tuesday night to approve the proposed budget for fiscal year 2014-2015 – but with a slight change.

City employee pay raises and new hires were removed from the budget with an amendment motion made by Ward 3 Councilor Rob Cesternino. However, that does not mean that raises and new positions, such as an Assistant Human Resources Director, are still not a possibility.
