Graveside services were held Monday afternoon, July 21 at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens for Mrs. Thomas, 67, of Lebanon.  Widow of the late Gary Thomas and owner of The Baseball Card Shack, she died Friday July 18, 2014.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23 at Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. Hardin, 91, of Watertown.
Born in Lawrenceburg, the widow of Mr. William Doyle Hardin died Sunday evening, July 20, 2014 at The Pavilion in Lebanon.

Paul Bryan Granstaff, 77

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24 at Hunter Funeral Home for Mr. Granstaff, 77, of Watertown.

A retired police officer and former operator of the Watertown CeeBee Grocery, he died Monday evening, July 21, 2014 at his residence.

Paul J. Harp, 75

Graveside services were held Monday afternoon, July 21 at Wilson County Memorial Gardens for Mr. Harp, 75, of Lebanon.  Co-owner of Lebanon Electric Motor Service, he died July 19, 2014.

Raymond Dobson Evans, 84

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, July 27 at the at Gladeville United Methodist Church, 8770 Stewarts Ferry Pike, for Mr. Evans, 84, of Lebanon.

If the old man knew he was being watched, he gave no sign. There was nothing special about him, nothing that would catch your eye. In fact, he was rather nondescript. His white hair was a little long, in need of a combing and his bib overalls were standard issue, Big Smiths or Oshkosh. Something about him caught my attention.

Saturday morning arrived with the unceasing pitter patter of raindrops hitting my bedroom window. It would be a perfect day for a bed-in, but plans had already been laid for a day of bird watching with my best friend Anthony Gray.

Wilson County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information regarding an armed robbery at a market in Mt. Juliet that occurred in May.
