Watertown to host DeKalb Co. Saturday
Football fans will be able to preview both the Purple Tiger football team and the brand-new Robinson Stadium Saturday, Aug. 16 at the annual Watertown Jamboree.

Action will start at 6 p.m. as Watertown Middle School will play Carroll-Oakland in two quarters.

Well over 300 Blue Devil fans attended the inaugural “We Are Lebanon” rally Thursday night just outside Watkins Stadium on the campus of Lebanon High School.
    
Hosted by the Lebanon Blue Devil Football Foundation, the free event featured food, t-shirts, door prizes and an inspirational message from former LHS head coach Mark Medley.

Takes on boys job at Trousdale Co.
Bud Brandon was back coaching basketball Monday, Aug. 18 -- in Hartsville.

Brandon, who resigned in April after 13 seasons at Wilson Central in order to launch a campaign for public office, accepted Thursday afternoon the boys head coaching position at Class A Trousdale County High School.

CU soccer picked third in MSC

Six starters return for Bulldogs
Cumberland was picked third in the Mid-South Conference Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll released Thursday by the league office.

The Bulldogs picked up 35 points in the poll of the eight league coaches. Second-year head coach Kyle Smith returns 11 letterwinners and six starters from last season’s club that finished 7-13-1 overall, 4-5-0 in Mid-South action.
