Funeral services have been set for 12 Noon Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Rutland Baptist Church, 800 Rutland Road, Mt. Juliet, for Mr. Clemmons, 70.  He died August 18, 2014 at the Alive Hospice Facility in Madison.

Council approves public records policy

The Lebanon City Council passed resolutions on first reading to establish policies for Public and Criminal History Records Tuesday night, Aug. 19.

The items will be up for a second and final vote on Tuesday, Sept. 2. If passed, the policies will be posted online for the public to access.

Man charged in fatal accident in court Thursday

A man charged in an accident that took the life of a Nashville physician was in court Thursday, Aug. 21 for a preliminary hearing.

Clayton Rogers, 20, of Mt. Juliet, has been charged with Felony Reckless Endangerment. He was also cited for failure to yield to a traffic signal.

LHS assistant coach fired, charged

Lebanon High is shuffling the responsibilities of its varsity football staff after offensive line coach Toby Bates was relieved of his duties earlier this week.
    
A non-faculty assistant in his second season with the Blue Devils, Bates allegedly threatened and head-butted a player -- who was wearing a helmet -- Tuesday after practice.
