Mrs. Rohs, 90 of Lebanon, died Aug. 21, 2014. A native of Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Cleo Forest Bradney and Bessie Eldora Beers Bradney.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Aug. 25 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Shorter, 80.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 27 at Lebanon's Christian Life Chapel for Mrs. Knowles, 60, of Ripley.  She died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Mary Worley, 71

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Aug. 24 at Sellars Funeral Home on the Baddour Parkway for Mrs. Worley, 71. The widow of the late Bill Worley, she died Aug. 20, 2014.

Susie Katherine Corley, 89

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Aug. 25 at Watertown's Hunter Funeral Home for Mrs. Corley, 89, of Donelson.

The NFL has had its share of players who have broken the law. Some have served jail time for murder, domestic abuse, using and selling drugs.
College football has similar problems. Four Notre Dame football players face expulsion from the program and the school for academic cheating.


General Sports

FCS hosts Wilson Central Aug. 27

Friendship Christian is scheduled to host Wilson Central High Wednesday, Aug. 27 in a cross-county volleyball match.  Action will start at 5 p.m. at the Bay Family Sportsplex on the FCS campus.

The Lady Commanders tuned up for Wednesday's match with a 4-1 victory at Lancaster Christian Academy Tuesday evening in Smyrna.
