It's official - Under Armour is coming

MT. JULIET -- Gov. Bill Haslam made it official Thursday, Oct. 2 confirming in a "significant economic development announcement" at Beckwith Farms West that the sports clothing giant Under Armour will be locating a major new $100 million warehousing complex at the site near Mt. Juliet's newest I-40 exit.

The announcement was "significant" indeed - it means that Under Armour will be bringing about 1,500 new jobs to Mt. Juliet and West Wilson County, according to Haslam.

A local doctor whose specialties include colon cancer is now battling the disease himself.

Representatives with Lebanon Digestive Disease Associates say Dr. Donald Cole has undergone a successful surgery for a previously undetected colon cancer.

Lady Devils host Gallatin Thursday
Lebanon posted a 3-0 win over visiting Friendship Christian School Wednesday, Oct. 1. Game scores: 25-19, 25-021 and 25-15.

Nicole Painter finished with 11 kills and three aces to lead the Lady Devils while Briana Clemmons had eight digs. Zia Hamilton recorded 21 assists and Megan Brown had seven digs.
