LHS student arrested for bringing gun, ammo to school

A 15-year-old Lebanon High School student was arrested Monday after school officials discovered he had a handgun and magazine full of ammunition including three powerful hollow-point bullets in his possession. The student, a sophomore, pleaded guilty in Wilson County Juvenile Court He is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 10, 2015.

Cumberland soccer coach resigns

McKinney takes job at UT-Chattanooga --
Gavin McKinney, head coach of the Cumberland University women's soccer program, was announced Tuesday, Dec. 16 as the new head coach at NCAA Division I University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

McKinney had a 71-26-3 (.725) record in five seasons at Cumberland, including three straight trips to the NAIA Sweet 16.
