Ashley Brooke Jones, 28

Ms. Jones, 28, of Red Boiling Springs and formerly of Lebanon, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Wilson County, she is preceded in death by her grandparents Earl and Lorraine Hobbs Buhler of Lebanon, and Uncle Bob Buhler of Florida.

Steve Armistead, 67

County Road Superintendent --
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were held Thursday morning, Jan. 15 at the Victory Baptist Church on Tate Lane for Wilson County Road Superintendent William Steven "Steve" Armistead. Mr. Armistead, 67, of Mt. Juliet, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015 at Alive Hospice in Nashville following an extended illness.

Dr. Harvill C. Eaton has announced his plans to retire as president of Lebanon's Cumberland University.

Hired at CU in January of 2004, Dr. Eaton presented to Robert L. McDonald, Chairman of the Cumberland University Board of Trust, on Saturday notice of his intent to retire coincident with the appointment of his successor.

Dr. Eaton indicated he has been asked to participate in an advisory role to the Presidential Search Committee.

The Kiwanis Club of Lebanon celebrated its 69th birthday during its Monday, Jan. 12 regular noon meeting by bestowing four longtime members with Life Member status and inducting a new member.
