Wilson County Sheriff's Office recently honored its largest-ever Sheriff's Citizens' Academy class following a 10-233k session that gave citizens a glimpse into what law enforcement officers encounter on The 24 graduates were all smiles as Sheriff Robert Bryan congratulated and thanked them for taking part in the unique educational opportunity.

WATERTOWN -- Goodpasture rallied from a 2-0 hole to knock off Watertown 3-2 in Thursday's District 8-A tournament finals.

With the loss, Watertown will go on the road to Gainesboro for Monday's 6 p.m. Region 4-A semifinal vs. Jackson County

GLADEVILLE -- Mt. Juliet takes on Beech Friday at 5 p.m. in the finals of the District 9-AAA loser's bracket with the winner moving on to face host Wilson Central in the tournament finals.

Coach Coach Brad Rowlett's team (23-9) was on the short end of a 2-0 loss to Wilson Central Thursday -- a meeting that found Morgan Powell cracking a two-run homer in the sixth inning for the game's only runs.

WCHS BASEBALL -- 'Cats visit Rossview Monday

Central falls 2-0 at Hendersonville
HENDESRONVILLE -- Wilson Central will be on the road for the opening game of the Region 5-AAA baseball tournament Monday evening after falling 2-0 to Hendersonville Wednesday in the District 9-AAA championship game at Drakes Creek Park.

Coach Anthony Ford's Wildcats, 20-10-1 overall, will play the District 10-AAA champion -- Rossview in Monday's regional semifinal.
