The tragic shooting death of 13-year-old C'Asia Patton in January inspired mentor and friend Lori Seay to launch the Golden Girls Club earlier this year. World War II veteran, farmer
LEBANON -- Robert Ray Speck, 92, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 in the community in which he was born and raised, Taylorsville.
Born in the Taylorsville Community on June 16, 1923, Mr. Speck lived a long, adventurous life and was a veteran of World War II. He served his country as a U.S. Marine aboard the USS Indiana (BB-58), a South Dakota-class battleship, the third ship of the United States Navy named in honor of the 19th state.
