Fugitive arrested with stolen vehicles, swallows drugs

Wilson County Sheriff's Deputies arrested two people for possession of stolen vehicles and other stolen property. They assisted U.S. Marshals who were trying to find one of the suspects who was wanted in Georgia for other charges.

Coach Troy Allen's Golden Bears ran their win streak to five consecutive games following Tuesday's 50-43 win at Beech -- moving into a tie for second in District 9-AAA at 8-3 in the league and 17-6 overall.

Hoping to break a modest two-game losing streak, the Lebanon High Blue Devils will host District 9-AAA rival Gallatin this evening. Senior Night activities are planned between games of the 6:30 p.m. doubleheader.

Coach Jim McDowell's club stands 18-5 overall and 8-3 in the district following Tuesday's 65-53 home loss to undefeated Station Camp.

MARIETTA, Ga. - Life University used a 13-4 run to open the second half and never looked back in a 92-71 victory over Cumberland Thursday night at The Eagles' Nest.

The Phoenix (10-13, 3-7 Mid-South) and Running Eagles (12-8, 6-5) were tied at 34 with less than two minutes left in the first half, but Life netted the final six points of the period and then started the second half with the 13-4 spurt, with Williams scoring six points and Dantzler adding four during the stretch.
