Women down No. 7 Shawnee State
LEBANON -- Cumberland University's basketball teams split a Mid-South Conference doubleheader Thursday evening at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center with visiting Shawnee State.

The CU women knocked off seventh-ranked Shawnee State in the opener while the men dropped a narrow 63-61 decision in the nightcap.

Both teams will be in action Saturday afternoon at home as MSC rival Georgetown College comes to town for a 2 p.m. doubleheader.

One of three Class AAA finalists
Wilson Central's record-setting senior Kendall Spray is one of three finalists for Tennessee's Class AAA Miss Basketball.

Spray, who owns state records for the most 3-pointers in both a single game and a single season, joins Crystal Dangerfield of Blackman and Anastasia Hayes of Riverdale as finalists.
