CRIME -- Carthage man faces DUI charges

Runs mom's car into Hatton fencing
A Carthage man was arrested after he failed to negotiate the Lebanon Square roundabout early Sunday morning and drove into the center where the statue of General Robert Hatton stands.

Lebanon Police Cpl. PJ Hardy said that officers did not arrest the suspect, Ian Prince, 32, at the scene.

9-AAA Baseball -- LHS 5, Mt. Juliet 4

Central sweeps Station Camp
MT. JULIET -- Lebanon High's baseball team earned a split of its District 9-AAA series with Mt. Juliet Wednesday, April 13 scoring three runs in the top of the sixth for a 5-4 victory over the Golden Bears.

The win marked the first for LHS over Mt. Juliet since 2010 when Coach Tracy Slone's team turned the trick in a 2-1 game.

"There in the fifth, we dropped a routine fly ball on the infield and they took the lead at 3-2," said Blue Devil coach Eric Vetetoe.

SOFTBALL - TKA sweeps Friendship

FCS hosts Davidson Academy Wednesday
Friendship Christian will try to get back on track Wednesday with a Division II-A home game against Davidson Academy. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. at the FCS softball field.

The Lady Commanders dropped to 19-6-1 on the season after losing both ends of Monday's doubleheader at The King's Academy by scores of 4-2 and 5-4.
