Thought of something the other day. Have y'all noticed that now that everyone is carrying a cell phone that takes pictures like a camera, you don't hear quite so much about UFO's?

See, I was sitting, most likely in a nest of copperheads and ticks, waiting for it to get light enough for this gobbler to fly down.

I wasn't really exactly where I wanted to be. In fact, I was not 100% sure, where it was, I was.

LEBANON -- Lathon Whittington lifted a long two-out drive off the glove of a Wilson Central outfielder to tie the score and moments later scampered home from third on an overthrow as Lebanon High climbed off the deck to down the Wildcats 3-2 Wednesday at Brent Foster Field.

With the win, the Blue Devils split the season series with Central and improved to 17-9 overall, 5-3 in the district.

"It was ugly, but we found a way to get it done," said Blue Devil coach Eric Vetetoe.

Lebanon High senior Caitlyn Strickland signed an NCAA National Letter of Intent Friday, April 15 to continue her education and athletic career at Trevecca University in Nashville.

Trevecca is an NCAA Division II institution, affiliated with the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

LEBANON -- Friendship Christian's Courtney Petty threw a perfect game against White House Heritage Tuesday afternoon, April 19 as the Lady Commanders won 3-0. Petty did not allow a base runner and struck out 14 as FCS improved to 25-7-1.

Friendship scored all three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning as Courtney Miles slammed a two-run homer -- dropping the Lady Patriots to 27-7 overall.
